About Ray of Light

Ray of Light Children’s Centre is a registered Private Voluntary Organization founded in 2011 to provide holistic care and support to orphans and vulnerable children.

The organization has helped children gain access to education, nutritious food, clothing and emotional support. Some beneficiaries have gone on to tertiary education.

The centre now focuses on supporting child-headed families affected by poverty, migration, HIV/AIDS and the impact of COVID-19.

History of the Center

Ray of Light has been working to provide reliable, direct and effective aid to vulnerable children, working together with friends Catherine Robinson and her late husband John under the guidance of Catholic Priest Fr Nigel Johnson.

Over the years, Ray of Light has supported orphans and vulnerable children by helping them access education, nutritious food, proper clothing and emotional support. The work has opened doors for many children, including some who later progressed to tertiary education.

Today, the centre continues to respond to the growing needs of child-headed families, giving children practical help and a pathway toward a safer, brighter future.
